With competition getting tougher in the budget smartphone segment, Xiaomi is finally here with an amazing set of products. After months of researches, leaks, speculations, teasers, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi on Tuesday unveiled the new Redmi flagship smartphones at a press event in Beijing. Xiaomi has just launched it’s two new phones, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 pro.

Both the phones are just filled with flagship features and also have the similar same body as well. With the launch of K20, Xiaomi is now targeting consumers who are willing to pay slightly more to gain access to flagship features and a premium experience.

Here is what the new phones have to offer :

Dispaly:

Both Redmi K20 and K20 pro have a 6.39″ inches AMOLED screen with full HD+ resolution. Both the devices have end to end display, which means there is no notch.

Processor

Here there is a change in terms of processors. The Redmi K20 possesses Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, whereas the Redmi K20 pro caries the latest, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

Well, the new cool in the industry, Xiaomi also joins the party with In display fingerprint sensor in both Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.

RAM and storage-

The new devices are available in the following specifications :

Redmi k20 :

  • 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage,
  • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage

Redmi K20 pro :

  • 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage,
  • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage,
  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and ,
  • 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage

Battery

Both k20 and k20 pro comes up with a heavy 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charing with k20 and 27W fast charging with k20 pro. Using Type-C USB port.

Camera

The front camera is 20 megapixels pop up camera, first-time Xiaomi has introduced this feature in its phones.

Rear camera comes with a triple camera set up with 48MP primary + 13MP wide angle + 8MP 2x optical zoom, which is probably one of the best camera setting in this segment.

Expected Price

The Xiaomi K20 will be priced at approximately Rs. 20,000-21,000 which is quite considerable taking value for money in account.

The K20 pro is priced slightly higher than the K20 at approximately starting from Rs. 25,000 depending upon the variant.

Overall, both the devices looks pretty solid both in the build and hardware wise and as per me will be a great hit in Indian market, so lets hope Xiaomi launches the 2 devices soon in India.
