This is the fourth phone that has been launched under the M series of Galaxy Line-up.
M series is known for mid-budget friendly phones.
Samsung got hands on some unique features apart all the marketed ones, let us have a look on the package it has to offer.
As it has Snapdragon 675 with Adreno 612 GPU, the first interaction went quite smooth with no visible lag, it can give some competition to the other phones
It has a 6.3 inches of Full HD display with screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels.
2.5D glass is standard.
I have heard a lot of people crying over as Samsung Galaxy M40 doesn’t feature the AMOLED, anyway the display is stellar, you will probably won’t see any difference until you have other device to compare it from.
Another reason of not using AMOLED is improving the battery efficiency as it doesn’t hold a gigantic battery like its predecessor Galaxy M30.
It has 3500mAh battery, which is a downgrade from M30 also it is lesser in comparison to other similar budget phones.
The optimisation is made better here, so you can make the most out the given package.
But I think there must be reason for that too, we have seen some other companies drifting away from large batteries.
It is a camera centric phone featuring a triple camera setup that is, 32-megapixel primary camera of an f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.
It beautifully captures good amount of details with balanced colours and contrast so the image looks close to natural.
The front 16MP camera, uses AI while clicking selfies which does some sort of smoothing and brightening which is both good and bad.
Good as it will improve your image, bad as you will miss out the detailing.
RAM and Storage –
It comes with 6GB of RAM which comes handy while multitasking and gaming.
128GB is enough to store all of your needs, still if you want more, you can expand the storage upto 512GB by using the microSD slot.
Make and Design –
Samsung Galaxy M40 features the infinity O display which was used as its USP from the start.
It is nice to see punch hole design in this price segment, but most of devices have moved to motorised camera.
The material used in fabrication is polycarbonate, look wise it looks good, glossy finish at the back is sure to catch few stares.
It has a hybrid SIM tray, and comes with a 15W fast charger, with a secondary noise cancellation microphone on top of the device.
So you remember I said there is something unique about this device?
Did you catch any speaker grill on the front?
No, check it again.
Still a no? Let me tell you why.
Samsung Galaxy M40 features “On Screen Sound Technology” So your whole screen is the speaker, crazy right?.
I feel if they used this feature as USP it would have gotten much more spotlight.
And also a USB type-C earphones is bundled with the phone.
You can get your hands on this device for just ₹19,990, It is set to go on sale on the upcoming 18th of June at 12P.M. on Amazon. In my opinion it is a solid phone if you want a Samsung this is it.
