mi band 4

Mi Band 4 : Your new fitness partner.

Xiaomi, the well known brand, has released their next-gen fitness band – the Mi Band 4 in China and it is the best fitness band in the budget range we have seen so far. It is also expected to launch in India very soon so let’s take a look at what the brand has to offer this time.

In the box:-

The box contents of the band are very simple and obvious. Apart from the regular paper-work you get a charging cradle-cum-cable and, of course, the band itself. There is nothing much inside the box and it is something that can be expected from a brand like Mi.

The main highlight of the band is that for the first time Mi band has been introduced with a colour display which is bigger than what we saw in the earlier generations of the Mi band. If you turn it upside-down, you’ll notice that this band also comes with a heart-rate sensor that we know is not new but it is now more efficient and tries to give you the accurate heart rate measures every single time. You can also take readings of different exercises that you perform like running, swimming, cycling etc. Well that’s not all. You can also download the Mi fit app from Play Store or App Store and sync your band to use all other features and view necessary details. You can also customise watch-faces from the same app(s).

The UI of the band seems a lot intuitive and it is easy to navigate with the touchscreen which is now very colourful. The band itself gives you a lot of information regarding notifications and controls over music, stopwatch, alarms etc. Apart from steps tracker, the better loved feature is sleep tracker and with its water resistant capability it is a budget oriented devices over-loaded with features. But there’s more to the list. The band comes with a massive battery backup of upto 20 days and it is huge.

Xiaomi is known for its aggressive pricing strategy for every product they launch and this device is no exception. You can expect the band to launch at a price of around Rs. 2000 for the normal variant and around Rs. 2500 for the variant with NFC that can help you make monetary transactions directly with your band with just a single tap. However we are still not sure if Mi is going to launch the latter in India or not.
