Since the OnePlus 7 Pro launch, there have been a heavy competition in the smartphone section, Xiaomi flashed a new phone too calling it the “Flagship Killer”, but Asus jumped right in with its new flagship phone dubbed “Zenfone 6”.
Let us have a look at its features.
The most talked about feature of Asus Zenfone 6 is its camera, at first glance you can tell something is different, it has a dual camera setup 48MP Sony IMX586 RGB sensor paired with 13MP 125° ultra-wide sensor, which also acts as the front camera for the device, you may wonder how?
Instead of using Motorised Pop-up type of camera, Asus Zenfone 6 went a step ahead and motorised the whole rear camera setup, it is kinda cool to have a high quality snapper for selfies as well.
Major con according to me for this design is, as the whole thing moves it will hard to provide protection for the camera, if you manage to drop the phone at certain angle then you are doomed.
It also have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and Adreno 605 with similar clock speed as the OnePlus 7 Pro.
It has a 6.4-inch having a screen resolution 1080×2340 IPS LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 with no cut-out or notch, watching something will be more pleasant as nothing will be cropped out, yes you will miss the OLED screen but its not that bad considering the price.
It is available in 6GB/ 128GB and 8GB/256GB variant, it has Bluetooth V5 and most of the sensors you get with smartphones, along with two nano sim you can fit a SD card upto 2TB pretty crazy right? And they also have tweaked the RAM management to smoothen the multitasking and app switching.
It will be running on Android 9 out of the box with ZenUI which has gotten closer to a native Android experience as seen in Asus Zenfone Max M1 and M2.
It has the 5000mAh Li-Po capacity battery which is quite the signature of Asus along with Quick Charge V4. They also claim to have quick response time on the fingerprint scanner. And a customisable smart button too. You get a Headphone jack and inbuilt equaliser as a bonus.
Expected Price :
It is said to be starting around under 40k price range.
Asus has emerged as a true rival for the Xiaomi brand, it will be cool to see which flagship gets killed.
