PM Narendra Modi, the Biopic of the Indian Prime Minister released on May 24. The film stars Vivek Oberoi as PM Narendra Modi in the movie. The movie is directed by Omung Kumar. The movie showcases Modi’s remarkable courage, wisdom, patience, dedication towards his people, his craze as a political strategist, his leadership that inspired a thousand social changes in Gujrat & later in India.
The movie shows the journey of our PM from his tea- selling days to his days spent in rallies for our country. The biopic is balanced, irrespective of your personal views, the story white washes controversies that is something that you will lap up if you are believer & dismiss if you aren’t. The movie shows the beautiful bond between mother & son which is brilliantly performed by Zarina Wahab & Vivek. In movie about Gujrat riots 2002 has been showed. Dilogues like “modi ek insan nai, soch h” (modi is not a human, but is a thought), “Gujrat m dhanda hone dunga, Gujrat ka dandha nahi” (I will allow business in Gujrat, will not allow business of Gujrat) etc gives goosebumps in a movie.
The movie ends with Modi taking Oath as India’s PM after his landslide win in 2014. If director would have waited a few more days, we would have seen 2019 too.
Vivek Oberoi has done unimpressive job in PM Narendra Modi’s biopic. The biopic fades in front of the story of Modi the man that we have seen in front of our eyes. His impression of being Modi is so off point that throughout the movie you will constantly compare him to our Prime Minister & will think, maybe Narendra Modi is a better actor than Vivek Oberoi.
Things that did not even happen in Narendra Modi’s life has been shown to have happened in this film. He is shown being arrested during the emergency, then the earlier PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee is shown praising him in press during 2002 riots, the lazy description of former PM Manmohan Singh & looks like the movie is solely made for the supporters & fans of Modi. Being a movie lover you may not like the movie but it will surely entertain die-hard fans ofNarendra Modi.
With the real life Modi winning the Lok-sabha elections with a landslide victory, the movie can do well in theatres with his supporters to watch their hero.
